Golden Khersonese-The Old Malay Peninsular

Golden Khersonese, Chersonesus Aurea, is the ancient name to refer to the Malay Peninsula by Claudius Ptolemy or Claudius Ptolemaeus (Greek: c. 90 – c. 168), known in English as Ptolemy, he was a Greek geographer, astronomer, and astrologer. During the Roman time, the Malay Peninsula ("Chersonesos") developed an international reputation as a source of gold, hence the name was given.
This is the proof that Malay Peninsula has been recognized during this time, and what make sense are who the people that live at Malay Peninsula that time when Ptolemy times? Based on record the Kingdom that was legally form in Malay Peninsular was created during 5th century (Kingdom of Kedah Tua & Gangga Negara). Maybe there was another kingdom has established before that time and make this Malay Peninsular so popular with gold, and maybe one day historian can explain it.
